Previously had a Brazil made pair, several years ago. It had a nicer shape to the sole, and lasted along time. The new ones, Cina made, have a lot less shape to them.

Don't get me wrong I also own sandals with hiking soles that are great but not everything requires such a serious sandal. These are easy and comfortable for day to day. They are a throw back to what started me on sandals in the first place, lite and easy!

I bought a pair of the convertible sandals at Ron Jons about 5 years ago. Absolutely love them. I am a chiropractic patient. I wore them to an appointment one day. After checking them out, my chiropractor said, "I usually explain to my patients that sandals aren't good for everyday wear. But, after looking yours over, I can't say the same about those."
I am looking to replace, because they are hard to find (until now). My Reefs are just starting to wear. 5+ years later. Worth every penny.

I originally found a pair of Reefs similar to these eight years ago while in Key West. I immediately fell in love with them (hate the whole in between toe thing & needed something different than a pair of slides). The velcro and adjustable straps provide versatile, secure comfort while the foam base supports all types of movement. I only wish they came in more colors/styles!

I have worn Reef in the past, but this is much poorer quality than previously. The sixing was a little small, too. I would no longer consider Reef to be a quality product that justifies the price---price too high for poor quality.

Hi... Just wanted to let you know... I bought a pair of Reef sandals in Feb/Mar of 1997.... at a surf shop in Melborne, Florida. They were mens ... two super thick velcro straps over the foot and one more around behind the ankle....this is the same style :). nice fit( nothing between the toes ya know)... Those sandals have been with me ever since 97' and have been everywhere, and done all kinds of things :)....And odd thing, I had them on today ( they could pass for maybe a year old) and my boyfriend said those are nice where'd ya get em.... and I filled him in ..:). the even shorter version of what I'm telling you ..:)/////. I've had these sandals longer than him or any boyfriend LOL.....15 YEARS these lasted and are still going..... snorkeling the keys/bahamas /etc etc .... all over Florida, Arizona, Pa, Delaware, New HAmpshire, Conn, NY, NJ,MD,VA,GA, etc etc etc and on EVERY vacation out of the US.... all over my yard / ALL SUMMER long til it snows//and even then with sox on occasion /rivers/ kayaking/ camping / walking/ hiking/ swimming lakes ponds oceans/ etc etc etc..... BEST SHOES I EVER HAD AND STILL HAVE ...

I have a pair of convertible sandals over 10 years old. I would buy more if I could find them for sale, but I can't find them in my size (8). The clasp on one is broken, can you send me a replacement?

For close to twenty years, I have worn Reef Convertible sandals for a large portion of each day. The fit was adjustable, so they fit just right. They were comfortable, washable, and long-wearing.
BUT recently, the clasps have been relocated from the inside of the foot where they were easy to use, to the outside of the foot, where one must be a contortionist to reach them. With the clasps on the inside, I would have given the Convertibles 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Now, I give them an unsatisfactory 2 stars. Please, Reef, put it back the way it was: clasps on the inside of the foot.
